always looking for experienced carpenters and cabinet makers.
However, we do accept applications for entry level positions from those
who are interested in a career in this field and have the desire and
motivation to learn.
Entry Level
Duties: Include
shipping and receiving, repetitive assembling of components of
articles such as store fixtures, office equipment, cabinets, and
high-grade furniture. Other responsibilities include:
Attaching parts and subassemblies together through the use of nail
guns and staples guns.
Education: High
school diploma or GED.
Required Skills:
Both mathematically and mechanically included; along with the ability
to read a tape measure. Must be willing to learn and have a
positive attitude.
Cabinet Maker
Duties: Must be able
to take direction well and work in team environment, produce and
assemble components of articles such as store fixtures, office
equipment, cabinets, and high-grade furniture. Much of the work
involves using hand clamps, nail guns, staple guns, routers, power
saws, and wood chisels.
Education: High
school diploma or GED and some woodworking experience.
Required Skills:
Both mathematically and mechanically inclined; along with the ability
to read a tape measure. Assemble components of articles such as
store fixtures, office equipment, cabinets, and high-grade furniture.
Meet strict deadlines and maintain accuracy. Trim and sand
surfaces and joints with some repetition of both physical and mental
activities.
Custom
Cabinet Maker
Duties: Cut, shape, and assemble components of articles or
set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines such as planers;
jointer; and routers to surface, cut or shape lumber or to fabricate
part for wood products. Establish the specifications of the
articles to be constructed or repaired. Plan methods and
operations for shaping and assembling parts based on blueprints,
drawings, diagrams, oral and/or written instructions.
Education: High
school diploma or GED and five years experience as a cabinet maker or
comparable education and experience.
Required Skills:
Mechanical, mathematical, basic computer, and tape measure skills.
Ability to read blueprints. Attention to detail and
problem-solving skills. Must be knowledgeable of different types
of lumber and be able to match materials by color, grain, and texture;
giving attention to knots and other features of the wood and materials
being used. Verify dimensions and check the quality and fit of
pieces in order to ensure adherence to specifications.
Project
Manager
Duties:
Review architectural drawings, provide drawings to vendors for cost
estimates and customer service to include; purchase orders; cost
tracking and shipping of product to jobsite; create material
requisitions and cut-list for each product. Coordinate schedules for
timely manufacturing and delivery of project. This position
requires a lot of time on the phone and computer using AutoCad
software.
Education: High
school diploma or GED and continued education to include the use of ;
Excel, Word, AutoCad. Three to five years production experience
in a similar role can be substituted for continued education.
Required Skills:
Must be customer service oriented. Must be able to interpret
data and communicate effectively in a team environment.
Excellent computer software skills to include but not limited to
Excel, Word, and AutoCad. Must be able to read architectural
drawings and blueprints. Experience with Microvellum is
preferred.
